Emptiness and Interdependence

Bowen Lodge by the Sea, Bowen Island, BC · July 15–17, 2011 · Five sessions

A three-day retreat with Lama Marut on Bowen Island, Canada, in July 2011 is now in the archive – five full sessions.

In July 2011, Three Jewels Vancouver brought Lama Marut to Bowen Island, a short ferry ride from Vancouver, for a three-day retreat: Emptiness and Interdependence: A Meditative Retreat on Strategies for Living the Good Life.

Across five sessions he moves from karma and impermanence, through the prerequisites for wisdom and the 'Six Flavors of Emptiness', to Nāgārjuna on the 'seer and seen', and closes with an afternoon answering the retreatants’ questions. In this retreat, participants are encouraged to understand how things are “coming from us, not at us.”

This retreat was co-taught with Dharma teacher Shadi Mogadime with Cassandra Delarios leading morning practice.

All five sessions are now available to listen to and download.
