Emptiness and Interdependence – Bowen Island, Jul 2011

A three-day retreat on Bowen Island, off the coast of Vancouver, presented by Three Jewels Vancouver. Lama Marut explores emptiness and interdependence, two key ideas for living the good life: what they mean, and how to put them to work for a happier life, drawing on Master Shantideva and Ārya Nāgārjuna.

Over five sessions he moves from karma and change, through the prerequisites for wisdom and the Six Flavors of Emptiness, to Nāgārjuna on 'seer and seen'. The retreat closes with an afternoon of questions and answers.

Readings from Shantideva’s Guide to the Bodhisattva’s Way of Life (chapter 9, on wisdom) and from Ārya Nāgārjuna.
