Dharma Essentials Course I: The Principal Teachings of Buddhism

The first course in the Dharma Essentials series, drawn from the courses of the Asian Classics Institute. Its readings come from Je Tsongkapa’s The Three Principal Paths (1357–1419) and Pabongka Rinpoche’s commentary, The Key that Unlocks the Door to the Noble Path.

Over four classes Lama Marut sets out the essentials of a spiritual life for practitioners of any tradition – finding a teacher and being a good student, then the three principal paths of renunciation, bodhicitta and correct view.

Each class ends with a guided meditation.

Lama Marut taught these courses as the essentialised version of Geshe Michael Roach's 18 Asian Classics Institute courses. The full ACI courses can be found at The Knowledge Base.
